Why I Started ThrivePointe Indiana

When I decided to pursue counseling as a second career I had no idea it would lead to being a business owner! But when Jodie Edwards and Stephanie Shell proposed a partnership to open ThrivePointe locations in Indiana, I knew I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to work with such amazing women. When we started, we were driven to cultivate a culture of pursuing excellence that is focused on empowering therapists to deliver the highest standard of care to their clients. Seeing lives transformed inspires me and the rest of the team to do our best work every day. We promise to keep improving and innovating, to stay focused on our clients and our mission, and to bring all our energy and passion to the work of providing the best counseling experience in Indiana.

Helping Clients Thrive

Studies show that we can’t live without human connection—our attachment needs are that powerful! The more we understand ourselves, the more we can be in-tune with our needs and the people around us. From romantic relationships, parenting, workplace dynamics to friendship…attachment and emotional regulation touch on every aspect of life! We may not be able to control what life deals us but attachment science helps us know how to make it through those challenges more resilient and more connected to the ones we love. My role in that journey is to provide a supportive and compassionate environment for insight and growth—wherever that takes us. I’m not afraid of powerful emotion, in fact, it’s an opening to understand what is holding a person back from experiencing acceptance, hope, and a clear path forward.

What I Do For Self-Care

Spending time connecting with the people I love recharges me the most. Going for a walk on the Monon Trail with my husband at the end of the day, eating a great meal and laughing with my parents and siblings, or running around playing with my nephews and niece are some of my favorite self-care practices.
