Helping Clients Thrive
A sense of trust and safety is imperative for the counseling partnership to thrive. As we build that sense of trust and safety in sessions, I hope to help clients expand this in other areas of life as well. I love helping clients identify their goals for the future and helping them achieve those goals over time.
By using evidence-based practices, I seek to help each client improve areas of life such as interpersonal skills, stress tolerance, emotional regulation, enjoying the moment, and many more areas. As I work with each individual I seek to provide a nonjudgemental and compassionate presence so that each person can work through difficult experiences without holding back.
I believe that all people have the capacity for growth and change. For those who are starting this journey, I would love to walk with you. The path to growth and change can be uncomfortable at times but I invite each person to consider the benefits of moving towards their goals.
What I Do For Fun
In my spare time you can find me geeking out over X-Men and Spider-Man comics, living my best life with movies and television shows, hiking at Clifty Falls (IN), or hanging out with friends. I’m often open to book recommendations and nature spots to visit as well.
What I Like Best About Being A Counselor
The day-to-day for a counselor is rarely the same and often provides the opportunity to learn and grow. I enjoy the ever-changing nature of the counseling field and learning new ways to effectively help people achieve their goals. In my counseling career I have the opportunity to help others, which is something I thoroughly enjoy. Hearing people’s stories and helping them determine where to go next is inspiring and I always feel grateful to be a part of someone’s chapter in life.
